The East Asia Center was founded in 1975 to provide a forum for faculty and students interested in East Asia. It currently sponsors a speaker series, grant programs, and promotes academic activities and cultural events related to East and Southeast Asia.

The Contemplative Commons is a dynamic complex of spaces designed to foster organic exploration of new ways of experiencing the world.
